Pencoed RFC held a touch rugby festival on August 3.

It was the second in the club’s history and was a good way to start the season, with something provided for all the family. It was the perfect opportunity for all to see the talent, past, present, and future, the club has produced.

A total of 10 teams took part in the event from all sections of the club, and there was great skill shown all around the pitches.

Both men’s senior sides made the final, with coaches Keith Burke and Gareth Roberts wanting to win this year. Gareth Roberts team were the winners.

The season starts with Caerphilly v Pencoed on August 10 (a friendly) and a home game on August 15.

Pencoed Phoenix will start their programme against Seven Sisters on August 11, kick off at 11am.
